Khobi Monastery (XIII - XIV cc.) - is located in village Nojikhevi of Khobi Municipality, 4 km away from the centre of Khobi. History attributes the construction of the monastery to King Gubaz, David the Builder, Queen Tamar and Tsotne Dadiani. The church is decorated with ornaments and frescos. Prior to the Soviet rule the church had been home to St. Mary's Robe, Queen Tamar's cross and other relics. During the medieval age Khobi Monastery served as a seat to the Catholicos Patriarch of Georgia. It is possible to get to Khobi Monastery by car as well as on foot (20-30 minutes).
