Attraction: Melouri Cave is one of the largest caves in Georgia. The entrance to the natural monument is 8-10 meters depth. The beginning of the cave is more difficult to navigate than further inside. A canyon has been carved in the last part of the cave, where a stream is visible and forms a lake. Bats, spiders and beetles inhabit the cave.
Exploring Melouri Cave is not too challenging with the correct caving equipment – headlamp, and waterproof caving boots. 8-9 hours are necessary to pass through the cave.

How to get there: The closest town to the natural monument is Tskaltubo, which is 257 km from Tbilisi. Duration: 3 hours and 30mminutes by car.

Village Kumistavi – Melouri Cave Natural Monument – 8 km; duration – 40 minutes.
