Mtirala National Park

Mtirala National Park is located between the territories of Kobuleti, Khelvachauri and Keda municipalities. Park is 25 km far from Kobuleti and 27 km far from the Administrative building. Visitor Center is located in Village Chakvi. Mtirala National Park is the only place where 220 meters zip-line is arranged.

One- and two-day experiences are available in Mtirala National Park, there are designated picnic areas and campsites, a tourist shelter is located at the 9th km and visitors can choose from hiking, horse-riding and educational tours.

Bird-watching tour is located in village Korolistavi, 17 km far from city center, Tamari populate, so- called Benze territory.

Rope Park

Rope Park is a tourist attraction that is arranged at Mtirala National Park. The eco-tourist attraction welcomes different segments of visitors. There are arranged 2 zones: zone for family trip and the zone for adults.

Rope Park on the trees includes the unity of ropes, bridges and flails that are installed on various heights. 

The park includes 2 trails: trail for family trip and trail for adults. There are 17 barriers within the total length of 209 meters (67m and 142m).

1. Trail for adults: it contains 6 elements. The adult’s height must not be less than 1 meter and 20 cm in order to use the service. The total length of the trail is 67 meters. 

2. Trail for family trip: it contains 11 elements. The adult’s height must not be less than 1 meter and 20 cm in order to us the service.  The total length of the trail is 142 meters.

Around Park Objects

Gonio Fortress, Apsarosi

Gonio Fortress, Apsarosi is in Adjara, Gonio. The region is famous with the culture of bronze and the first governmental unities: Daiaeni and Kulkha ( XVII – VII old crescent).

Botanical Garden of Batumi

Botanical Garden of Batumi is located in 9 km far from Green Cape. Its total area is 111 ha. It is located 2.5 km far from Mtirala National Park’s Administration. 

St. Nikoloz Church

St. Nikoloz Church is located in Batumi. It was constructed in 1865.

St. Barbare Church

St. Barbare Church is on the former territory of military hospital. The construction of the church started in 1888, by the financial support of Imperator Alexander Third. The reconstruction period was finished in 1906. On 7th of April 1997, the church was blessed by the priests.

Holy Spirit Church of Batumi

Holy Spirit Church of Batumi was constructed in 2000 year, by the Catholics from Batumi. The church was blessed by the priest Giuseppe Pasoto. The church is often visited by the ambassador of Vatican. It is noteworthy that the Catholicism in Georgia have more than 50 000 followers.  

synagogue

The synagogue was constructed in 1904 by the famous architect Lev Volkovich. In 1929, the synagogue was closed according to the Soviet Union’s governmental bodies’ decision. While it was abolished, the territory was used for sport activities. In 1998, the synagogue restored its status.

Boulevard

Boulevard was arranged in 1881. The idea of its creation is connected within the name of Governor A.I. Smekalov. He obligated famous German gardener Resseler to arrange the boulevard. Currently, its length is 7 km. since 1977, there are colourful dancing fountains, which is architected by G. Erkomaishvili. In 2008 year, in September, the foauntain was reconstructed.

6 May Park of Batumi

6 May Park of Batumi is an ancient garden in Georgia. It has more than 130 years history. The park was constructed in 1881 by the direction of the famous gardener Ressler. In 1885, for the park’s and boulvard’s reconstruction works, famous Franch gardener Michael Dalfonse was invited. The total area of park’s territory was 78 000 square meters for this period of time. Concerning garden, it was named as Alexander’s Garden, for the honour of the famous Imperator of Russia. In 1932, the garden was reconstructed as cultural and recreational park, in 1933 as a park for kids, later on as pioneers’ camp, and since 2006 its name is 6 May Park.
